Mission Bay San Diego Hotels

San Diego’s Mission Bay is a work of engineering art. Originally a wetland marsh, the area was dredged by the army corps of engineers in 1950 and developed into the Mission Bay Park that we have today. Mission Bay is one of the largest tourist draws in the city, with over 27 miles of shoreline it plays host to a myriad of ocean and water activities. The bay is centrally located and surrounded by the communities of Mission and Pacific Beach to the west and highway 5 to the east, making it convenient from almost any locale.
